Look, we all want to please people. It’s our nature. We’ve been groomed to care deeply about what others think of us.

When I was younger, I spent years trying to get people to like me. Lots of time well wasted, but I didn’t know any better at the time. I wasn’t even aware of it.

Here’s the problem with needing people to like me. So many times, this had to lead me to do the wrong thing for the right reason. Has that ever happened to you? Well, it’s time to stop!

Now, let me ask you. Which kind of person are you? The kind that make things happen, or are you the person that talks about it but never actually do something about it?

You see, many people are concerned about what other people think. And if you’re someone that cares about what other people think, well I am here to tell you that... it’s natural! I still care about what other people think and feel, but what has changed is that I don’t care about what they believe ABOUT ME.

It means that I don’t expect everyone to understand or co-sign who I am, and I don’t need them to.

I wake up every morning and try to care about the right things. I care about how I can inspire and impact people in a positive way. I care about how I can reach more people and help them live their best lives.

So, the art of not giving a f*** is to realise that actually, I care. Caring is natural. It’s okay to care. But care about the right things, instead of caring about what other people think – care about how you can become a greater version of yourself.

There were times in my life that I made decisions that were a little controversial for many. I had a lot of people saying: Don’t do it! Stay where you are! Because you’re not going to find anything else.

Many people doubted my abilities to succeed. They didn’t believe in me and my dreams. So, I had to remind myself:

- Small minds can’t comprehend the infinite

You see, when you have a big vision, it’s going to scare a lot of people around you. They’re going to call you weird, strange or even crazy. But let me tell remind you that those “crazy” people are all geniuses anyway.

They called the phenomenal scientist Nicolas Tesla crazy. They called the Right Brothers crazy from putting a piece of spruce wood up in the air. And that’s how we got the airplane.

Anyone destined for greatness will have oppositions; however, you have to know your mission, fulfil the dream, and know what you came here to do. And you can’t let anybody stop you.

You know that feeling of ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY. You know when you know that you know that you know?

Well, you have to give yourself that feeling sometimes. But how long can you believe in something or yourself without needing anyone else opinions? How powerful is the meaning behind what your beliefs and convictions are?

If you do not have the right WHY, you will always need others to agree or even disagree with you to feel more significant. But when your WHY is deep and strong, when you can summon it at will, with power and strength, then come what may, nothing else will even matter.

Every single day, you have to know why you are doing it. They don’t know why you’re doing it! Because looking from the outside, they think that you’re crazy. But YOU know what you came here to do – that you have a mission to fulfil!

You can’t let anybody get in the way. Because if you focus on them, they are going to slow you down.

- The questions you ask yourself will determine the course of your life

Tom Bilyeu

One day I realised that my purpose and my dreams were bigger than other people’s fears and opinions.

You see, when you’re not doing anything, people aren’t talking about you. And when you are, everybody cares. When it comes to judging others, the news I have for you is that people will judge you regardless of what you’re doing.

If you’re a saint they’re going to judge you.

If you’re a sinner they’re going to judge you.

If you’re doing nothing with your life they’re going to judge you.

If you’re doing something with your life they’re going to judge you.

But that doesn’t matter. Because the perception you have about yourself has to be greater than the perception others have of you.

The art of not giving a f*** is to remind yourself that they never made statues of critics. In history, nobody goes back and say “oh my gosh, this was a fantastic critic”.

Don’t focus on critics. Focus on your vision; focus on your WHY.

The art of not giving a damn is to realise that it’s okay for everybody to not be on the same page as you.

- Their opinions of me will not break me because they did not make me.

It would be best if you preoccupied all of your time learning how to accept yourself – not wondering and being concerned about what other people think of you. I will tell you straight away, that is a waste of time.

The art of not giving a f*** is to love yourself enough to drown out other people's opinions.

When you manifest your dream, you will realise that your weirdness and uniqueness is the reason why you’re living a life of infinite abundance. And all the people who judged and doubted you will beg you for a feature.

And you will be like: Do you remember the time when you doubted in me? Lol.

I do not have time to waste, I do not want to lose sleep over what other people think. If you know that your intentions are pure, then that is the only thing that matters. Make sure you always see yourself with unconditional positive self-regard.

When it is all said and done, we remember the people that stood out, not the ones who were just another brick in the wall. We remember the people who stood up for something, not the people who were leaning down.

We remember the people who made a change in the world. Not just those who stayed in bed criticising other people.

Trust in the process. You ARE going places. You ARE doing big things. You ARE f****** amazing.

To your success,

Ylva x
